I use iZotope RX 10 tools to cleanly process raw audio, minimizing background noise, tightening up unwanted reverb, smoothing out obnoxious breaths, de-click digital signal, de-click tongue pops and lip smacks, notch EQ resonant frequencies out, EQ the human voice for intimacy and warmth. Light compression to maintain adequate headroom for mixing and mastering and pulling down peaks.
